Editing or deleting tracked time entries in Allfred may be necessary if you've accidentally logged incorrect hours or need to transfer tracked hours from one task to another. Below you'll find simple steps on how to edit or remove your own or your team's time entries, ensuring your project's time records remain accurate and reliable.
Editing or deleting My Time Entries (tracked hours):
To edit your time entries, navigate to the "Time" section.
Use the calendar to select the date for which you want to make adjustments.
Click on the "Edit" button next to the time entry you wish to edit.
Modify the time entry as needed.
To delete the time entry, click on Bin icon.
You may also use Week view - in this case, you can delete the whole row = all week time entries at once.
Editing Team Time Entries:
Navigate to the "Time" section.
Select the user whose time entries you want to edit in the upper right corner of the screen.
Use the calendar to choose the date you wish to adjust.
Click on the "Edit" button next to the time entry you want to edit.
Make the necessary changes to the time entry.
Bulk Transferring Hours to a Different Task
Sometimes, it's necessary to move multiple tracked hours to another task or project. For instance, if hours were accidentally logged under the wrong task or if project structures change. Follow these straightforward steps to bulk transfer your tracked hours:
Navigate to Reports → Time Reports.
Use the available filters to find the specific time entries or select a desired time range.
Optionally, group the time reports by date, brand, user, project, task, or position for better clarity.
Select the relevant time entries by clicking the checkboxes next to them.
Click on Actions and choose the option "Move selected time entries to another project".
Specify the Brand, Project, Budget Item, and Task where you want the hours to be transferred.
Important:
The target budget item must already contain an existing task.
If the positions used in the original task differ from those in the new task, Allfred will prompt you to match the old positions with the new ones to ensure consistency.
Bulk Changing of Position in Time Entries
In you tracked your time under incorrect positions, use these steps:
Navigate to Reports → Time Reports.
Use the available filters to find the specific time entries or select a desired time range.
Optionally, group the time reports by date, brand, user, project, task, or position for better clarity.
Select the relevant time entries by clicking the checkboxes next to them.
Click on Actions and choose the option "Move selected time entries to another position".
Select the correct position. If the position is not in the list it means that positions is not specified in the assigned budget of given project
Bulk Changing of Billing Category of Time Entries
Navigate to Reports → Time Reports.
Use the available filters to find the specific time entries or select a desired time range.
Optionally, group the time reports by date, brand, user, project, task, or position for better clarity.
Select the relevant time entries by clicking the checkboxes next to them.
Click on Actions and choose the option "Change time entries billing category".
Select the new category and Save
