You can arrange the people in Planning in any order you like, for example by seniority or by who works together most often. Allfred remembers the order you set.
How to change the order of people
Go to Planning and select one team in the team filter.
Hover over a person's name and grab the dots icon next to it.
Drag the person to the new position and drop them there.
The order is saved for that team. It stays the same when you come back to Planning, even if you switch to another view or clear the team filter in the meantime.
⚠️ You can't reorder people when two or more teams are selected. To change the order, select just one team or clear the team filter.
Why did my custom order reset?
If an Admin has turned on Automated User Alphabetical Ordering in the workspace settings, people in Planning are always sorted alphabetically. Any manual order you set is reset the next time you open Planning.
To keep your own order, ask your Admin to turn this option off. See Planning and Utilization settings.
Where do new users appear?
When a new user is added to Allfred, they appear at the end of the list in Planning, unless automatic alphabetical ordering is turned on. You can then move them to the right position.
FAQ
I set the order of people in Planning, but it keeps changing back. Why?
Your workspace most likely has automatic alphabetical ordering turned on. This setting always takes priority over the manual order. Ask your Admin to check Planning and Utilization settings.
Why can't I drag people in Planning?
Check whether you have two or more teams selected. Reordering doesn't work with several teams selected. Select just one team or clear the team filter.
