Note: This functionality is currently available only in selected workspaces, as it is being gradually rolled out across servers.

Allfred provides users with an option to maximize the task detail view for enhanced clarity and productivity. This feature lets you expand a task detail from its default sidebar view to a full-screen layout, ensuring a comprehensive overview.

Maximizing and Minimizing Task Detail:

  • Click the maximize icon in the top-right corner of the task detail to expand it to full-screen.

  • Allfred remembers your last-used view (maximized or sidebar), and subsequent tasks will open in this preferred mode automatically.

Left-Side Panel (Task Information):

When the task detail is maximized, you'll find important task-related information on the left side, including:

  • Task Status

  • Assigned Users

  • Priority Level

  • Duration and Deadline

  • Tracked Hours vs. Budgeted Hours

Task Title:

  • If the task title is long, hover your mouse over it to see the full name in a tooltip.

  • Clicking on the task name copies the entire title to your clipboard.

Assigning Users and Clients:

  • Easily add or manage task assignees (both team members and clients) using the "+" button next to the assigned users.

Tabs Section (Description, Files, Linked Tasks, Subtasks):

Description:

  • A detailed task description is shown here. If the description is lengthy, it occupies the entire height of the task detail, allowing easy scrolling.

  • You can quickly copy text from the description tab and paste it into the comments without switching tabs, which isn't possible in the minimized sidebar view.

Files:

  • All attachments from descriptions, comments, or directly uploaded files are neatly organized and visible here.

Linked Tasks:

  • Use Allfred’s seamless linking feature to connect related, duplicated, blocked, or caused tasks. This functionality provides clarity and improved workflow context.

Subtasks:

  • Displays the number of subtasks under the current task, with clickable links to easily access each one.

  • If viewing a subtask, you can quickly navigate back to the parent task from here.

Right-Side Panel (Actions and Communication):

Action buttons:

Communication Threads:

  • Internal: Agency-only conversations

  • Client: Direct communication with invited clients

  • Partner: Discussions with invited partners

Adjustable Panel Width:

You can adjust the width of the left and right panels by dragging the central dividing line. Allfred will remember your preferred panel widths for future task views.
