Why am I unable to track hours for some tasks?

Issues with time tracking: why you cannot track time to some tasks.

If you're encountering issues with tracking time for certain tasks, there could be several reasons:

  1. Task Status is set to "Done" or the project is finished/archived: If you cannot find the task when clicking on the clock icon to track time, it is because the task has been marked as "Done," or if the project is finished or archived T.o track time for such tasks or to create an allocation for this taks in the resource planning, you need to change the task status to something other than "Done." If the project is closed or archived, you need to open it first before tracking time.

  2. Time Tracking is Disabled: Project managers may have disabled time tracking for a specific period. To enable it, project managers need to go to the project details, navigate to the "Settings" tab, and adjust the settings to allow time tracking.

  3. Task is Unassigned: If a task is not assigned to any project or budget item, you will not be able to track time for it. Ensure that tasks are linked to a project for time tracking to be available.
