Insights into project and brand profits generated from agency work, production, media and royalties.

The Project Profit and Brand Profit Reports provide insights into the profitability of your agency's projects, brands and clients. They show actual profits for selected time frames and include a summary and charts for a quick overview of the most profitable projects/brands and their profit share.

Project Profit Report

This report allows you to analyze project profits generated from agency work, production, and media by comparing invoiced amounts to received expenses and internal costs in the case of work.

By using the Project Profit Report, you can gain valuable insights into the profitability of your projects, helping you to make data-driven decisions and improve your agency's financial performance.

You can access the Project Profit Report via Reports -> Project Profit.

Navigation in Project Profit Report

  1. Selecting the Time Frame

    • Use the arrows to switch between months or click on the button for the month to set a custom time frame.

    • Allfred will display only projects that were active for at least one day within the selected period (based on their start date and end date), including both active and finished projects.

    • In the case of financial data, Allfred shows them based on Date of supply on invoices, and in the case of work, based on the date of adding time entries

  2. Searching for Projects

    • Using the search field, you can search for projects by brand, code, project name, etc..

  3. Filtering Projects

    • Use filters to narrow down the projects you need. You can filter by client, brand, team, project manager, project category, or status (active/finished/archived).

Project Profit Summary

  • Left Side: Displays the summary of profits for the displayed projects and their share grouped by the brand they are part of.

  • Right Side: Shows the top projects by profit for the selected period.

Detailed Overview and Breakdown

The main table provides detailed data for each project within the selected time range. Here is a breakdown of the columns:

  • Work Profit: Invoiced amount for work minus actual labor costs and assigned work expenses.

  • Production Profit: Invoiced amount for production minus received production expenses, calculated for closed budget items only.

  • Media Profit: Invoiced amount for media minus received media expenses, calculated for closed budget items only.

  • Royalties Profit: Invoiced amount for royalties minus received royalties expenses, calculated for closed budget items only.

  • Gross Income: Sum of work invoiced plus production profit, media profit, and royalties profit.

  • Total Profit: Summary of work profit, production profit, media profit, and royalties profit.

  • Share Profit:

    • Upper Row: Percentage of total profits for the selected period and applied filters.

    • Bottom Row: Profit share of all projects active in the time range.

Project Details View

When you hover over a project row and click on the "Show details" button, a detailed project summary is displayed. This summary breaks down the invoiced amounts and net profit by categories such as work, production, media, and royalties. It also shows the net margin for each category and the overall gross income.

Brand Profit Report

The Brand Profit Report allows you to analyze brand profits generated from agency work, production, and media by comparing invoiced amounts to received expenses and internal costs in the case of work. This report provides insights into the profitability of your brands, helping you to make data-driven decisions and improve your agency's financial performance.

You can access the Brand Profit Report via Reports -> Brand Profit.

2. Searching for Brands

  • Using the search field, you can search for brands by name, code, or associated project names.

3. Filtering Brands

  • Use filters to narrow down the brands you need. You can filter by client, brand, team, project manager, project category, or status (active/finished/archived).

4. Grouping Brands by Client

  • You have the option to group brands by client, providing an overview one level higher. The Group button is located next to the time frame selection.

Brand Details View

When you hover over a brand row and click on the "Show details" button, Allfred will automatically link you to the Project Profit Report with filtered projects for that particular brand.
