Managing tasks across multiple projects can get overwhelming quickly. With the useful tabs in task lists, Allfred helps you:
prioritize what matters
track what you care about
organize your work your way
The result: Less searching, more focus, and better control over your daily workflow.
1. Watched list: Tasks you follow
The Watched tab shows all tasks where you are set as a watcher.
How it works:
youβll see tasks youβre following, even if you're not assigned
useful for staying in the loop on important work
How to add yourself as a watcher:
open the task detail
click the π (eye icon)
add yourself as a watcher
π Benefit: Stay informed without needing to be directly assigned to the task.
2. Starred: Your important tasks and projects
The Starred tab helps you highlight and quickly access what matters most to you - across both tasks and projects. You can mark items as starred in different situations, depending on how you work.
How to star tasks
You can star tasks in three main ways:
From task detail
Open a task and click the β icon (next to the π eye icon).
β Best when you're already working inside a task. From the task list (single task)
βIn the task list (All tasks, My tasks or My created tasks), use the β column to mark tasks one by one.
β Useful for quick prioritization while browsing tasks.
Using bulk actions
Select multiple tasks β use the bottom toolbar β click β to star or unstar them.
β Ideal when organizing multiple tasks at once.
How to star projects
You can also star entire projects:
From project detail
βOpen a project β click Actions β select Star
This may be useful when reviewing or managing a specific project.
From the project list
Click the β icon directly in the project row
This is the fast way to prioritize projects from the overview.
When you star a project, Allfred will ask whether you also want to star all tasks within that project that you are assigned to. If yes, simply click on the checkbox and confirm.
This helps you quickly propagate priority across the entire project.
Where to find starred items
All your starred tasks and projects are collected in the Starred tab (both in the Tasks or Projects list). This gives you a clear overview of everything youβve marked as important in one place, making it easier to:
quickly access priority work
stay organized across multiple projects
reduce time spent searching
π Benefit: Starred function gives you a flexible, personal layer of priority - whether you're focusing on individual tasks or entire projects.
3. Highlighted β now Pinned
Weβve renamed Highlighted to Pinned to better reflect how it works. List of Pinned projects allows your agency to pin important projects for global visibility across the workspace.
Unlike personal marking of projects with Star icon, this list is shared at the agency level, ensuring that key projects are easily accessible to everyone who needs them. However, visibility of projects is still controlled by permissions. Each project manager or team leader only sees projects they have access to based on their role and permissions.
How to pin a project:
go to the Projects list
click the three dots (β’β’β’) next to a project
select Pin
or use bulk actions to pin multiple projects at once
What happens next:
the project is pinned to the top of the list
it appears in the Pinned tab (Projects)
all tasks from pinned projects automatically appear in the Pinned tab in the list of Tasks
π Important: This is just a rename, the behaviour stays the same.
What this means in practice
With these updates, task navigation becomes much more powerful:
Watched β stay informed
Starred β define your priorities
Pinned β keep key projects always visible
π Together, they give you full control over how you track and manage your work in Allfred.
