You can connect Allfred with Xero and send your outgoing invoices and expenses straight to your Xero organisation. You only need to connect once; after that, you export whenever you need to and choose which documents and which dates to include. When an invoice is paid in full in Xero, its payment status is updated in Allfred too.

Exporting data from Allfred to Xero
Once Allfred is connected, you can export your documents to Xero:
Go to Finance → Outgoing invoices.
Click Export and choose Xero from the list.
In the Xero export window, tick what you want to export: Outgoing invoices, Expenses, or both.
Set the From and To dates for the period you want to export.
Click Export.
Allfred then prepares the export in the background. It may take a while, so you can close the pop-up and check your data in Xero after about 5 minutes.
Where to find your data in Xero
Allfred sends the documents themselves (invoices and expenses), and they appear in these places in Xero:
Outgoing invoices: Sales → Invoices
Expenses: Purchases → Bills
⚠️ Please note: Working with the documents inside Xero (editing, approving, reconciling, reporting and so on) is handled by Xero. If you have questions about that, please contact Xero support.
Payment status sync from Xero to Allfred
When you update the payment status in Xero, Allfred picks it up and updates the payment status of the document in Allfred as well.
⚠️ Important: The status is updated in Allfred only when the document has been paid in full in Xero. Partial payments are not reflected in Allfred.
